Our First Week!

Our first week together as a new class has been terrific! We are getting back into school routines. Review of Daily 5 expectations has gone very smoothly. Our class contract has been agreed upon so that everyone understands work and behaviour expectations. We agree that we are a team and a team helps each other.

In math, we have done lots of Problem Solving already! We have also done pattern counting and basic facts work. Our September calendar is a daily activity, too.

I have enjoyed listening to the summer sharing. Everyone had the choice of telling us a little about their summer. Their first writing task was also about their summer fun.

We have finished the week with art sculptures, using packing peanuts! Reading and talking about different types of sculptures, then create our own. Lots of fun! See below for a few photos.
